Hola!
I'm Maria and I've been residing in the Amazon Rainforest that I love since 2015.
I am a self-taught artist, communicator and facilitator.
I am born and raised in Denmark, a former CSR senior consultant, and I have always been drawn to people of other cultures, curious about what's around the corner, across the mountain, and down the river. Furthermore, when I see injustice or the possibility for improvements and collaborations, I work for it, as I am drawn to make a positive footprint.
I have travelled to 38 countries and lived in 6, which gives me an open heart and a multicultural identity. I started travelling alone when I was 16 and in the year 2015 I returned to South America, which I have always felt was "home". For 4 years I travelled and volunteered.
For two years I volunteered in an indigenous education program in the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest, which was the deepest and most real entry into the Amazon Rainforest, I could ever have imagined - with all that it brings.
It is not a secret that I am in love with the ecosystems and the cultures within. It is natural for me to develop projects together with my local friends, as when we share knowledge and ideas it can really make a change and impact. I work towards (re-) connecting people to nature in all my locations, with different channels, arts and collaborations.
It will be a pleasure to create and share a natural experience with you, in this beautiful and meaningful ecosystem.
